RK is a Kansas City based contractor and roofing company that is family first. We work hard to bond together to offer you the customer the best experience and quality possible. We long for the good of the city. Our crew is made up of Middle Eastern immigrants and refugees. These men are skilled workers from their home countries and know the meaning of a truly hard day’s work. We pride ourselves on being honest and fair and hope we have the chance to work for you soon.

Reda

Reda Ibrahim grew up in a small rural village in southern Egypt. After getting married and living in Zanzibar he found his entrepreneurial spirit. Where there was nothing, he dreamed to build. Where there was need, he sought to fill it. He then moved to the US and couldn’t sit still. Ready to start moving and dreaming he overcame his lifelong fear of heights and became a roofer at a good friend’s company. He learned the skills to roof and in the following years many other construction skills. He is now a father of three and he and his wife saw a need. Like himself he saw other friends from the Middle East who had the desire to worked skilled labor jobs and grab hold of the American dream for their own families, but it was hard for them to know the system and the language. Reda strongly desired to pass forward the opportunities that had been given to him and launched out on his own. His desire is to see people grow and for the growth of the city.

Teresa

Native of Wyoming, Teresa Ontman is a mother of six; they are her first love. In many ways she is the mama of our company too and keeps all in order as Office Manager. As a bookkeeper for several years, she does this and more to keep the company on track and running. She is the cheerleader of the company, smiling and cheerful as she files all company paperwork, keeps numbers in order and ensures that our crews are paid correctly. She cares for the details as much as she cares for her family and that means a lot to us since the people involved in the business are our family.

Erik

Kansas City born and bred, Erik Wise is the newest member of our team and has fast become our fun-loving little brother. Though he is the token white guy on our crews, he dives right into the Middle Eastern culture, especially when it comes to shawarma. Erik has a wide range of roles from scheduling our crews to training guys on new remodeling skills to updating us all on the most recent Chief’s stats. He’s often one of the first contacts our customers meet and loves to find out exactly what you want and won’t finish till it’s perfect for you.

Elivs

Originally from Nigeria, Elvis came to the States from Kuwait to play college basketball and
study Chemistry and Physics. While he was in Kuwait, he was exposed to the Middle Eastern
culture. He relocated to the Kansas City area from Kentucky after college and became a close
friend of Reda and his family. He was moved by the vision of the company and was fortunate
enough to be able to help progress this vision. He recently joined the team as Sales Manager.
While he enjoys the logistics side of the company, he is usually the main point of contact
between RK and our customers to help make sure that they are satisfied with putting their trust
in us. In his spare time, Elvis enjoys spending time with his wife, playing board games, computer
games, cooking good food and watching Chelsea win.
